Workshop Presented by Kayla Nida (KBI)

This workshop is geared towards familiarizing participants with the basics of forensic anthropology. Topics discussed will include: tips and tricks for identifying human vs non-human remains, forensic taphonomy, juvenile remains, entomology, decomposition, and surface scatter and burial processing. This workshop will review popular methods for conducting biological profiles, as well as touch on the common elements used for biological profile. Participants will walk away with an understanding of how a forensic anthropologist can aid in an investigation.
